Geographical Indications (IG) Part 4 (Beneficiaries & Expected Results)

Beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of the Geographical Indication-based Plantation Product Development Optimization activities are farmers / farmer groups as product producers as well as traders and exporters of agricultural products as well as the local community as a whole.

Expected Results
  • An increase in understanding and common perceptions for the parties, especially in the plantation environment, about the importance of Geographical Indications (IGs) both at the center and in the regions as well as business actors for specific commodities of a region that have superiority and uniqueness.
  • Establish communication between actors involved in the development of plantation products that have or are in the process of issuing IG certificates.
  • Increased added value and competitiveness of Indonesian plantation products that have been IG-certified.
  • Development of market opportunities for plantation products based on geographical indications.
